Books: I always enjoy "The Animal Family" by Randall Jarrell. I'm currently endorsing The Tao of Sex, Health, and Longevity by Daniel Reid. It's the starter book that got me going on my current path. World Poetry edited by Fadiman, et al. is my daily fix. Art books, especially those published by Taschen.
Movies: Pretty funny this question comes up because right now I'm looking at my tv rot by the garbage outside in the cold and rain. Thinking about throwing on Burn Hollywood Burn as the soundtrack to finally getting its lame vibe out of my crib. Good riddance you cheap, useless, tawdry piece of shit!
Music: The only stuff I Iisten to these days is any and all post-rock, ambient, Rhymesayers, binaural beats, and Shostakovich's String Quartets. I've been playing guitar for over 20 years. I used to listen to a lot of guitar-based music but haven't been finding any new stuff that isn't a re-hash of the same old same old. Recommendations are always welcome.
